“I met the Gomez family a few years ago before they had had Felix; After Felix was born they reached out to me to set up a time to chat about becoming homeowners and I was so happy to help them! I love that they were a part of the local community and I was excited to help them set down roots.  We searched for a few months before they found their home. Last fall, I had heard that Felix was suffering some seizures and I reached out to them, only to hear the terrible news that he was diagnosed with Tay-Sachs disease. As a mother, I was so haunted by the tragic news. Hearing about Felix’s diagnosis brought me to researching many charities and foundations and realized that if I wanted to have complete control and clarity over how the money that we could raise was gifted, then I needed to start my own non-profit. As a local real estate team we are fortunate to have such a wide-reaching platform within the local community, from our client base, to our events, we wanted to utilize that to help raise awareness and funds for the Gomez family to help them live their best life with Felix. 

We want to use our platform to help those in need in our local community. Right now, that’s the Gomez family, we will use our events and our reach in the community to help raise funds for the Gomez Family; this is how The Felix Foundation began.”
